Two years ago one of the carbs was leaking gas over everything, last year new power pack, wires, plugs and optical sensor AND now this year --- I started to pump up the gas ball and started to shoot gas on the motor and found out it was a bad seal between the fuel bracket and the vaper seperator cover. Replaced that and now I can't keep it running unless I keep pushing the choke in and out. So after a while of doing that the water temp light came on. When I did get it to run it ran like ____ if you know what I mean. Called two OMC mechs and they said dump the gas and put new in. Well I can go with that but what made the light come on????
Had the hose hooked up and water seem to be coming out of where it was supposed to. The gas was at least a year or so old although it had that new marine stable in it if that means anything, didn't seem to mean anything to the mechs. I hope it isn't the fuel pump that close to $400.00 for that. Any thoughts on this more that welcome.
