I have a 1996 130hp evinrude. The motor starts and runs fine for a few hundred yards then stalls. starts back up and stalls as soon as I put it in gear. and will not stay running unless I push the warm up button
in and give it a little gas. and then it will idle all day till I drop it back into nuetral and it stalls again.
I Changed the prime bulb and gas filter. and added dry gas.same results. I then let it sit for 3-4 hours got back in, it started up and idled for about 10 minutes. dropped it in gear and took off at full throttle for about five minutes straight. dropped it into nuetral and it purred like a kitten. covered it and went home. does it take time for dry gas to work? could this be an intermitten sensor prob.
