Alright guys, I haven't been having a single problem with this motor since I've had it and then about 2 weeks ago I was running around 3600rpm and then it just cut to about half power. I came off plane and then tried to get back up and noticed I had lost my torque to get up and get back on plane. The last couple times I've used it, it takes about a hundred yards or so to get on plane but once it does, it run pretty much fine on top except for a small miss every now and then. Also have been noticing it sputtering while idling and bot starting first crank like it would before. Before when it was running fine, it would jump up and get on olane in no time and would get to about 50 at WOT.
My knowledge of motors is pretty well with evinrude and Yamaha, but this is my first mercury and just learning as I go.
So far, I have tried, new plugs, seafoam, new fuel line, bulb, and water seportator and cleaned out the gas tank.
I'm thinking maybe spark wires are causing one cylinder to not fire maybe? That would be my next route and also a carb rebuild maybe.
Any help is appreciated! Ready to get this beast back up and rolling!
