1995 Merc 25 HP running issue's need help!

Runs at idle fine, but when I throttle up it bogs out and stalls. It sat for about 5 years. Fresh Fuel and oil. I'm thinking clogged jets??

I would second that guess.

Tear down the carb and clean out the 5 year collection of cooties. Might need a rebuild kit - new gaskets and maybe a needle seat at minimum.

Also, wouldn't hurt to change the plugs.

Also, water pump impeller (at least) maybe waterpump cover gasket.

Also change the gear oil.

And maybe stop by a Merc dealer and grab a can of "power tune" and use it according to directions on the can once you get the carb sorted out - it will clean all the other cooties/carbon out of the cylinders, transfer ports etc.

Or, throw in the towel and send the motor to me - I'll "scrap" it for you
