Hello so I need help with my evinrude, I just bought the motor put it on my boat and went out and it ran ok but I couldn't give it more than half throttle, or it would just bog out and die, so had shop spend 2600$ on rebuilding all the carbs and I took it out and it's worse, it runs perfect up to 3500rpms anymore throttle and it promptly dies (which is quicker than before) any ideas? I eliminated bulb just stuck bear hose into fuel tank no better also played with adjustment on carb, motor model # is E150JLEDB

???---$2600 to rebuild carburetors ?----Did you order them to rebuild the carburetors ?----Any trouble shooting done ?-----I would buy a running motor for that kind of coins.-----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads , yes or no ?-----Post the compression test values here.---Sounds like it might be running on 3 cylinders.------Checked the shift switch on the motor linkages ?-----Your location ?

So he pretty much told me you start at the carbs and work from there so I told him go for it and he obviously gets all oem parts, he also replaced bowls because they were warped and he's said jets where missing so installed new ones, which made sense it drank gas before but now when u have it at 3500 rpms which is the most it will run on I stuck my finger in right on top of the jets and my finger didn't even get wet ...also compression is 70 on 5 cylinders 75 on 1...I checked spark but didn't verify 3/8 gap...
My location lebanon PA

Also can someone tell me what fuel pressure it should run, I put an inline fuel gauge and it was running between 2.5-3 at an idle

Compression of 70 PSI is an issue.----You have a bad gauge or a motor that needs major work.----Remove a cylinder head and have a look in there.------You do NOT start with carburetors.----Compression test is step #1---Consult with the shop , perhaps look for another shop.

I definitely won't be going back to that shop but they told me compression is ok at 70 which it runs perfect up to a 3500 rpm just a tiny bit more it promptly dies, so wouldn't seem like compression
