Had to replace the water pump on my 1995 88spl and during the reassmbly process I noticed my shifter cable was not in the same position as when I removed it to gain access to the shifter rod. The shifter it self had not been moved during the process and when I went to reconnect the shifter cable to the rod it would not line up. It appears to be about 3" to long.
Not sure how to correct this any help greatly appreciated.
