1995 EVINRUDE 150 hp EXCESSIVE FUEL

I have a 1995 Evinrude 150 that runs and idles just fine after you run it for a little while fast or slow and shut it off it really has a lot of excess fuel trail behind the boat and the fumes are very strong. Checked all carb float levels they are all ok. I am thinking about checking the primer solenoid
to see if it is leaking by. any thoughts? Thanks

"Check the primer solenoid, and it is still possible you have a carby flooding at idle\slow speed, i would also check that befor i"replaced fuel pumps" as your engine has one vro unit which is suseptable to air leaks causing over oiling which could be your problem."
