1995 Chris Craft 26' Crown?

Hey everyone, I realize that I am in the wrong place for my questions. Basically, I am reaching out to Guy. However, all replies would be very much appreciated.

it has a Volvo 5.7 L engine with a Volvo outdrive. New risers, manifolds, carb. Etc.. Trailer is a 2004. I can get it for 7k. Has less than 300 hours. I only know about Mercruiser. That is what my current 34 year old boat has.

Should I consider this boat? I do not know anything about Volvo. He has no problem giving me a sea trial. Says it will not leave me stranded. He seemed to be honest, and I would like to use my own judgement upon purchase. Spent too much money repairing my boat this year, and am willing to wing it.

Any opinions would really be appreciated.

How are you doing Skip? See if the seller will split an hours labor at a Volvo shop for an inspection. If he balks then he is hiding something. I assume you have done the general inspection for rot in the floor, stringers and transom, especially the area around the drive. You'll have to take an awl (ice pick) and poke inside all the way around and under the drive. Any easy penetration says rot. Send me a PM if needed.
