This motor runs great when wid

This motor runs great when wide open and at any speed except when trolling. Although sometimes it does not do this it will cut off when at trolling speed. The ball becomes soft and if I hurry I can pump it back up and the motor will resume running. It does not do this all the time. I have had the carbs rebuilt. I also purchased a new mercury fuel line and ball and it helped somewhat. Any ideas??

Sounds like the fuel pump is starting to go - it's mostly just a diaphram and a gasket. It may have a small hole or tear which is still funtional with lot's of crankcase pressure but leaking enough at lower rpms that the issue is apparent.

Fairly simple job and inexpensive to fix...
