1995 175hp Evinrude Plugs

How do these plugs look for 7 years old and l do mostly trolling? Am I running too rich?

QL78YC or 938-1 Champion. They look good for 7 years old?

QL78YC is the proper plug. Take the motor out once in awhile and run the hell out of it. Stop it immediately and then check the plugs. That's the proper way to get a plug reading.

how does the motor idle?...i ran evinrude v4/s for many years and could tell the difference with new plugs after a couple of years...only a slight difference but a difference....very little trolling but 10 minutes of very slow running in the canal going in and out of camp....i would replace them and fog the old ones and keep them in boat storage for backup...and as Boobie said..run it on top a bit every trip....it dont have to be a long run...run it about 1k from top and then on top for a mile or so to make sure you are still getting top rpms and blow the carbon out some...just my opinion....
