"i have a 95 johnson when i fi

"i have a 95 johnson when i first put it in the water in runs ok maybe a little miss. after a short time running i shut it off and then back on again and it misses really bad shaking the engine violently i have checked the fuel,compression, and fire while the boat is out of the water but it acts up after it has run under a load The motor idles fine but messes up when trying to give it gas I feel like it is dropping more than two cylindars when this happens Does the power pack act up like this ar is it more likely a bad coil heating up"

I dont think its overheating

I dont think its overheating i checked headgaskets and thermostats and have good lubrication
is the shift switch the spring loaded switch on the side of motor at shifter i was watching it and it doesnt move i can make it run differently while holding switch down manualy but whith it hooked up it doesnt appear to move
