I bought a pontoon with this motor last year. It had set up for a year before that. After my 2 hour test run, I purchased it. The next trip to lake it wouldn't crank. Next trip it cranked and ran for an hour. Next trip it wouldn't crank. Lining of the old fuel lines had fallen apart and got into the motor and it required a new piston. I finally got it back from mechanic, it ran 2 minutes and stopped. Took it back to mechanic, he said carbs needed adjusting, and he did that. (He works with muffs, does not put motor in water.) I picked the boat up and went straight to lake for test run. It ran a little rough at first but smoothed out and ran great for 40 minutes. Two days later it won't crank, it turns but doesn't hit at all. The mechanic doesn't want to pursue it any longer. I'm a DIY kind of guy but boat motors are sometime I've never attempted. Advice? Suggestions?
