I have a 1994 Mercury 150 EFI with an analog computer that runs great all morning, but after a few stops to fish, it'll start up just fine, but bogs down and quits when trying to put it up on plane. After working to finally get it on plane, it runs just fine. Sometimes once this has happened, it doesn't want to start. I'll have to turn the motor over for 15 to 20 seconds before it starts to sputter, then start up like nothing ever happened. It still bogs down when trying to get it on plane again. I've had the boat in and out of the shop for months, with the mechanic replacing different parts. It's to the point where he is no longer charging to "fix" the problem, as nothing seems to fix it. He said he has replaced everything, and that the only thing left to replace is the computer. The cost to replace the computer is almost as much as I paid for the boat six years ago. Any thoughts?
