Hello Pros,

I inherited this motor, but unfortunately the water pump assembly was ALREADY removed when I got it and I am trying to put it back the way it was supposed to be. I am stuck at this point because:

1) I cannot slide the drive shaft down far enough for the pin to lock against the water pump (please see pictures). I tried rotating the prop while turning the shaft at the same time to see if it could go down any further, but no luck. I am waiting for a manual I ordered from ebay but I need your help now to get this done.

2) There are two plastic washers that I thought would slide on the drive shaft and go on either side of the impeller. However, they are too small to slide onto the drive shaft, and looking at the parts diagram, I don't see these two washers anywhere near the water pump housing. Do you know what these are for?

For some reason, I can't upload the files here so I stored it online. Please see the pictures from the links below. Thanks in advance.

Update: I managed to push the shaft down toward the gear box so now I can install the impeller. However, I still cannot figure out if those two white plastic washers supposed to to onto the drive shaft as well. One thing I know for sure is the washer is too small for the diameter of the drive shaft, but I can't figure out why it's in the bag the "supposed" to have parts for the impeller and impeller cover.

Looks like there's a washer that looks just like the two I have, but how the heck do you get it to slide onto the drive shaft? I am about to just leave those two washers out but there might be consequences for that :(
