1994 60 hp looses power

My 60 hp runs great for the mo

My 60 hp runs great for the most part of the fishing trips; but at one point or another; the power just dies off and it does not stall.Ived checked all the obvious;gas lines;primer ball;opened the gas tank lid etc.The primer ball at one point did go soft and i pumped it up hard but the problem did not correct it self.I've also changed the plugs a few weeks back and they also look good. Can someone suggest what maybe the problem or what else should i look for.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
