I just bought a 1994 25' C

I just bought a 1994 25' Chris Craft Cruiser with a 5.8L OMC Cobra. I bought plugs for it and managed to get three replaced in about 3 hrs. What is the trick here do I have to pull off the exhaust manifolds to change the plugs?
Any help would be great.
Thanks Tom

"I have found that yes, it is

"I have found that yes, it is easiest to slide the manifolds down their studs to change those darn things. Most of the time you will not hurt the gaskets. Depending on where the floor heigth meets the manifold, you may have to take them off totally. That darn water bar on the bottom of the manifold is a B##tch isn't it."

I was afraid that was going to

I was afraid that was going to be the response I would get. Thanks so much for your help even if I didn't like the answer I at least know what I have to do now.
Thanks Carl

"Don't go through all that

"Don't go through all that trouble. I have dual 5.8l and am able to change plugs with a standard auto store tool. Don't know the name but flexible plug wrench might work. It is one piece with flared handle with a swivel joint connecting it to socket. I can change a set of plugs in about twenty minutes. Only thing I found that works. with that assinine design. There are two sizes. Bring plug to make sure you get right one. Mine has yellow covering verses larger which noemally is blue. Finally found one. Shucks has them look at this link http://www.partsamerica.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=ALT&MfrPartNumber=010326& CategoryCode=3411S Also, make sure you get the currently recommended plug and gap check on http://www.sparkplugs.com/Default.asp On the top left select marine and down throught he choices. Different plugs for carb vs. EFI. I put in NGK platimum's and am happy with increase in power and fuel economy over the MR43T's (originals)"

"Glenn, I have a pair of those

"Glenn, I have a pair of those and yes they do work on many of the Fords but on some boats, SeaSwirl's mainly, the floor hieght and close proximity of it to the manifolds can be your worst nightmare."
