Hello all,
This site has given me a tremendous amount of assistance over the past 18 months, and I thank you all. I have a 1994 200hp Rude Ocean Pro, model number E200CXERK. I bought it last year and after some initial fuel issues it ran very strong the entire summer. I put it up for the winter and when I decided to prep it for the this summer it wouldn't start. Cranks fine. Eventually discovered there is no spark on any cylinder.
I also moved to a new city during that time, and have been unable to find my manual (still packed someplace I am sure) so I am here to find out where to start troubleshooting this thing. I never had any ignition or ignition switch issues at all. The remote is the type that gives the operator the option of whether or not to use the kill switch lanyard, and I never did.
I am looking for a set of logical steps to perform the troubleshooting. I hadn't experienced any wiring issues up to the point I stored the boat. The only issues I had was overheating, which turned out to be corroded/failed thermostats. Thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to offer.
John
