"I just purchased a 1994 Livingston Viking (20') with a 175hp Johnson
Oceanrunner v6. Everything works great. However, the steering is a little stiff. It has a Bezel command 290 steering system. It didnt come with any user manuals. I think is power steering of some sort, but I am not sure. Does anyone know anything about the steering system of this motor. If so, how does it work? Is there some where I can get a manual for it.

"The steering system isnt power steering, it is a push pull cable which over time can become tight due to the grease solidifying and causing drag on the inner cable.

The swivel bracket may also be tight. remove the drag link and check the engine and steering seperately"
