"Had a problem last saturday.

"Had a problem last saturday. Did a decarb on friday night. Let it sit. Took it down the shore for a run. Idled fine out of slip and river. Got to open ocean and opened it up. Ran, but woudl suddenly just quit. It did it off and on then finally the engine would not start. Could the decarb with engine tuner have dislodged some gunk into the jets? Also I trailered the boat for a long time. Could I have dislodged something in the tank that clogged the filter? No alarms, etc just quits. The primer bulb gets a bit soft after running. Never had this before. Only thing I did was decarb. I'm thinking its fuel related but who knows. Plugs look clean. Should I change the fuel/water seperator first?

Thanks"

CLEANING THE CARBS WILL BE NES

CLEANING THE CARBS WILL BE NESSESARY AFTER IT HAS SAT FOR A WHILE. TAKE A SMALL STAINLESS STEEL SINGLE STRAND WIRE AND CLEAN THE JETS

"Mike, Change the seperator.

"Mike, Change the seperator. After you pull it off, dump it into a clear container and see if it has water or other stuff in it. Check the inline filter on the motor under the airbox. I would have thought these filters would keep the dirt out of your carbs."
