1994 150 Johnson Knocking

So I pulled an old boat out of storage with a 1994 Johnson on the back. Hooked up an alternative fuel supply and it actually fired up. Needs some work but this clicking/knocking noise has my concern. Any idea what it could be?

Was motor stored with fuel in the carburetors ?----Sounds like the classic " lean sneeze" of a 2 stroke.----Run some fuel conditioner / carb cleaning agent through it.
