Hi there,
I am fixing up my 1994 115hp 2stk/4cyl Mercury outboard. It was sitting outside for ~8 years (tarped).
I am having issues with the power trim (single ram). When I press the raise/lower switches on the throttle, I hear a click coming from the relays (but no movement).
When I connect the battery directly to the blue and green heavy gauge wires that lead to the tilt pump motor (bypass the relay/wiring harness/solenoid), the engine trims up and down fine. I'm assuming this means the motor and hydraulics are fine.
Not sure how to troubleshoot if it's the relays/wiring/solenoid. The relays look clean, and the wiring looks sound on the surface, but hard to tell.... Is the solenoid okay if I'm hearing the click?
I test lighted if power is running from the solenoid to the end of the wiring harness, and it is for both the up and down.
Thanks for your help, been at this all damn day!
Colin
