Just bought boat w/1993 Evinru

Just bought boat w/1993 Evinrude 115 outboard. Engine appears in very good shape (one owner) and runs very well. Experienced some problems in starting and idling in neutral(kicked off). What RPM's should this engine idle in neutral? Anything I should know about starting?

"Warm engine should idle at about 850 in gear..raise the fast idle lever, while cranking, push in Key to choke, hold until the engine starts..."
