"I just checked the omc site and it lists the high speed jets for my motor as #56c ,but my motor has high speed jets with #67c,which says those are for 115 hp. Can anyone confirm this and what whould this cause motor to do with wrong jets? thanks , for any help ,Bobby"

"If your engine indeed required the lower size 56C jets, and you or someone else installed the larger size 67C jets..... that engine would run so rich that it would most likely flood out and stop running.

I don't have the 1993 book but my 1992 book states:

The 56C is for the 88hp and 90hp model.

The 67C is for the 115hp model.

What is the model number of your engine and what problem are you having?"

"Thanks for the reply Joe, My motor is 1993 88 hp Johnson Spl,Model J88MSLETE.I just talked to my local dealer,He seemed to think maybe my carbs are the 115hp carbs ,I didn't have carbs with me.But he did give me the correct jets for the 88 hp to try.For the problems I've been having see posts below listed under 1993 Johnson 88 Spl.How can you tell if I have correct carbs for this motor, they have 1 3/16 number on them ??thanks , Bobby"
