Newby to the forum so be gentle...
Read the posts on on spark. I posted this to my boat co-owners and it will help encapsulate where I am at:
"(So I am continuing to post updates in case it helps anyone else troubleshoot a larger outboard)
On the forum Stu pointed me to, the first troubleshooting advice for no-spark was to disconnect the main wiring harness, pull the plugs, rig a spark plug tester and jump the solenoid. The idea is to check if there is spark off the (magneto I would have called it) to affirm or eliminate the ignition switch and kill switch as the source of the problem.
I purchased a better spark tester today and did as described. No spark. (Tested first with ignition connected. No spark.) So, the problem resides in the engine side electronics. May sound like a 'duh' but that really helps narrow it from the most common fault.
Now I just have to figure out where to go from here..."

OK, so where do I go from here to fault test? The fuel is good and so is the delivery. No start with starting fluid. This test supposedly eliminates the ignition/neutral switch/kill switch as culprits. Now what? Help REALLY appreciated!
