Mercd.150 1992. Knocks when I go into forward at low rpm's. When I get on it it is fine. Also reverse is fine as well.Sounds like a missing cog or something more then a engine miss but not sure.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a truck load of useful info here.

This sounds normal, you should never ease the motor into gear, a brisk action is needed as boat motors do not have a clutch system. This is also for reverse action. Most pilots make the mistake of easing it in to gear and end up grating the gears, ultimately replacing the cogs...
