Hey All,

We recently had our motor serviced and it was running fine, but has now started stalling all the time when traveling at low speeds.

Once going the motor runs fine, but often while coming in to the dock it will stall, or while reversing out from the ramp it will stall.... Even some time while sounding for fish and/or deploying the anchor.

Any suggestions? Can I manually adjust the idle on the carbs? And if so, how do I do this and where are the adjustment bolt located on the engine?

Cheers,
Matt

Step #1 is a compression test on this motor.-------If it was running fine then something may have happened internally.-----New waterpump installed ?-----Does the tell tale indicator come off the top of the engine block ?----Colder weather a factor ?------Yes adjusting the idle stop on the throttle arm may help.

Cold weather's not an issue, it's just a problem at low revs...
Do you know where the throttle arm is so that i can try adjusting the idle?
It was suggested that clogged fuel lines may be a cause, where at low revs there's not enough fuel coming through to keep the motor kicking over.... could this be the case?
