"My Johnson 120 start fine, but when I give it full throttle to get the boat to come out of the water it just plows. It's turning about 2,700 rpm and will do so for 6-7 minutes and then the boat will gradually get up and go with no problems. Any ideas?

Sounds like you are proped wro

Sounds like you are proped wrong...what are the rpm's when running wide open..? should be around 5400 or so...
