1992 J30 RLENR moto

How do I remove the leg on my 1992 J30 RLENR Johnson motor. I have tried undoing all the bolts but can still not get it off. Thanks

You have to remove the water intake screens.----------Then scrape the paint off the upper shift rod if that was never done.------Then undo the shift rod coupling.---------Then push the UPPER nut up the shift rod.-------------Then remove the split , black plastic keeper.---------Now lower unit comes off.

Did you remove the nut on the front of the exhaust housing? The stud is pointing up from the gearbox.

Item number 25 just remove the lower bolts and nut no need to remove the long shaft extension.
