I am part way though repairing a 40hp 4cyl mariner magnum 1992.
I have 2 powerheads in my workshop each using a different route for their enritchment during startup. Attached is a diagram from the specific manual which showcases both mnethods clearly. One method goes to the carburetors while the other bypasses the carburetors and feeds directly into the intake vents.
My question then is whether either one of those methods is better or worse than the other and why. I have the option of taking either route and am looking for advice while evaluating my options. Any advice or observations are welcome.
