Recently had marine Tech rebuild both carburetors. Replaced both spark plugs.This boat has setup for about two years. I reinstalled the carburetors and it will idle, but when you try to accelerate the engine coughs and runs erratic. Any ideas?

Electric fuel pump, Fuel hoses, Vent Cap on Gas Tank, Fuel Lines... It sounds like the main jets are not getting enough fuel...
 
Assuming that you have proper compression (approx 100+ & even on all cyls) and spark (jumps a 7/16" gap with a strong blue spark)..........

If pumping the fuel primer bulb (acting as a manual fuel pump) has no effect, I would suspect that the mechanic did not thoroughly clean the high speed jets located in the bottom center portion of the float chambers. I use a piece of single strand steel wire to clean them as solvent just doesn't do the job properly.
