Is there a kit to change motor over to electric start and about how much it would cost?

The starter is very common.----------First used on the 76 - 35 HP ----Many used ones available if you have time and a small budget.---------If you want one this week just see a BRP / OMC dealer and order a kit. New kit is about $700.00.----------Typically you can find a donor motor with everything you need for say $100.00 much depends on where you are located.

The most expemcive part is the new flywheel with gear (not included in the kit), as I believe yours is without. The 'good' part is you may rip off an oldie almost back to early 80'. Just be sure you get a starter matching the gears!
