Hard to start. 3 carbs overhauled July 2024 + new water pump. Only out once since overhaul. Thought it would never start. Then for 2 hours stop & start normal. Headed for the trailer. Suddenly engine would not start. Pulled it onto trailer by rope. On next outing son reports it would not start - crank & crank & crank. My "long-distance" guess - dirty, old gas from a metal and possibly rusted metal 6 gallon tank. New plastic tank on order! Question 1 does this sound like bad gas problem and Question 2 would you add any cleaning additive to the new gas to clean it out and Question 3 do the carbs and plugs need more of a cleaning than I can do myself? Any thoughts appreciated. Except for this sudden problem this Evinrude has been a gem!
