I have a gas leak on the plas

I have a gas leak on the plastic thing (please let me know what it is called) where the gas line connects to the engine. I have tried a couple of old ones and can't get it to seal up. When I asked the parts folks for one they gave me one that was not the same and said I had an oddball. Any suggestions???

" David.... If you're speaking of the plastic fuel connector that is on each end of the fuel line, it's simply called a fuel connector. Purchase a new fuel line assy at Wal*Mart, K-Mart etc. That should cure your problem and give you some extra parts that might be needed in the future.

The leak would simply be a faulty "O" Ring.

However, if this is what you're speaking of, that type connector has no business being on that engine. The fuel line should not have any plastic type plug on fuel conector, but rather the fuel line should be connected directly to a flow through fitting at the engine.

The V/6 engines demand a lot of fuel when the throttle's open.... and that plug on connector will cause a fuel restriction which will result in engine damage.
