1991 4.3 Ignition Parts

new, Used Boat owner. have had some problems , and think I need a new ignition module, but cannot find a replacement. it is the prestolite BID . any help ?

Ok well boat ran fine when I bought it. approx a year ago. had some cutting out at high rpm I replaced plugs wires dist cap rotor,
all seemed to help , and at times boat ran perfectly. other times would act up a little at the end of the day,
then started cutting out more,
I went to Tahoe which is at 6500 feet, and boat ran worse, then would not run. I know alltitude can affect performance
then back home
startd boat in driveway adjusted the timeing at someones recomendation, ran fine . took to lake ran for approx 1/2 hour,
but as soon as we tried to pull a wakeboarder. it died , and would't start.
couple times since it would start in driveway, then die after a minute or so. then just turn over , but not fire.
i even tried starting fluid, . no help. soo seems liike some sort of intermittent ignition issue .
possibly coil ? or igg., module

You tried cleaning all the connections with the battery disconnected ?

You tried disconnecting the ESA module ?

You tried pulling the kill switch a few times and resetting it !

You tried pulling apart the main barrel plug and cleaning that ?

The fuses you pulled apart and cleaned the connection ?

The main ground on the block, follow the neg cable remove and clean.

The key switch you cleaned those connections ?
 
I have done a few of these things
I will check them all.
I also ordered a new coil,
so when it comes I will try again,

Well, Thank you Master Mechanic for your help. I did check all grounds before installing the new coil.
I also asked the guys at the boat store what they thought, and if they could test my coil. they told me most of the time they test coils, it says they are good. they told me to replace the coil before looking into a new ingition . I did learn alot from this site of possible problems, and how the ignition works with the ESA .
probelm seems to have been a bad Coil. Driveway tested, and Lake tested yesterday. Boat ran better than it ever has. our wakeboard fix was satisfied yesterday.
hope to hit the lake a few more times before it gets tooo cold.
