1991 150HP 2 cycle no start when hot.

I've been back and fourth with a marina about this problem so any help is appreciated.
The motor was running good with no starting problems until having all 6 carbs rebuilt. They also replaced the powerpack. After that, it developed a no start condition after 30 minutes of shutting down. Marina says they can not duplicate the problem but they supposedly replaced the powerpack again and replaced fuel lines. Fuel tested OK.
I tested at home with garden hose connected. Ran it for 40 minutes, shut it down and waited 35 minutes= no start. I connected a spark tester and #2 cylinder on starboard side had no spark. Motor will start if I wait less than 15 minutes after shutting it down. I believe it is an electrical/heat related issue with the powerpack.
Any ideas? Thank You.

uhhh....why not try easier stuff first?

First off, what's the modl number?
Second, you say no spark on #2....well what about the rest?
I would like to know if all were dead, just 2,4,6, or just #2? Which is it?

This could be a crossflow with conventional ignition, or it could be a looper with OIS.

We need to know more.

Model number J150GLE15 or GLE1S. It's a 60 degree motor.
Cranks good and strong.
Marina said that was sufficient way to test for spark at least on that side.
From I've found it would be a looper with OIS.

So does that statement tell me if you have lost all spark, lost spark on #2, or lost spark on the left bank?

Answer the questions as put.

Aw s**t, just change the OIS sensor....

He probably can't re-create the problem without taking the boat out, and essentially breaking down on the water.

So we gotta guess. My guess is the OIS sensor.....better replace it before it goes apesh!t. Right Boobie???;)
He already replaced the pack.....
Since we are guessing, if it is not the OIS sensor, then it will have to be the stator going open with heat.

Right...........When I used to have one of these motors with no spark I'd take a pack and a sensor with me. Then flip a coin to see which I was going to replace first. Most of the time it was the sensor.
