I JUST BOUGHT A 150 MARINER BROUGHT IT HBOME THE WATER PUMP IS WORKING PERFECT BUT I HEAR A CLANGING SOUND ONLY WHEN FIRST PUT IN REVERSE OR FORWARD IS THIS NORMAL I AM TESTING THIS IN THE YARD

Please don't type in all caps. When you put it in gear don't ease it in. PUT it in gear. They are not syncronized like an auto transmission.

"Thank's for that imformation.It works perfect as you said,motor runs perfect when it is running at full speed,or half speed but cuts off when at a idle,any imformation on this that might help.(boat is in the water now)"
