Hi.
Just wondering why the manual says that if you remove the gimbal bearing it gets damaged and you have to replace it. Is this because of the serrated ring around the outside?

"No, it's the force applied to the inner race and ball bearings upon removal. Even if it doesn't appear damaged when you get it out (pretty unusual) for $35 or so why gamble on further damage and another teardown?"

Thanks Mandra. I'm in Australia and parts are not so easy to come by. New Gimbal bearing will cost me $110. Parts are very expensive. I guess I'll see how much pressure I use to remove it.
