"Can anyone tell me were to find detailed info on my 1990 3.0 omc cobra mod.# 302bmrpws? im having a hard time finding any info anywhere. i would like to know 1. what the rpm/mph range should be at top speed 2. were to find a book or manual on this motor. 3. is this motor a cobra 400 series
or 800 series?
4. what prop would you recommend using for this motor (3.0) at higher elevations, 2000 feet.

2. right here. top right of this page.
3. neither. 400/800 are stringer drive designations. (older model)
4. depends on boat, and max rpm."

this is what i have. 4200-4600 (good memory Scott!).

The OMC manuals are excellent. All you really need is the service manual (or third-party equivalent) and this forum.
