Thank yall for replying. He said the exciter coil was damaged. This is what happened. I went fishing at the lake about 3 weeks ago. When I put the boat in the water it started fine. When I went to take off it stalled and it aint hit a lick since. I checked the plugs and they had oil on them, I think that happened when I tried restartingit though. I replaced the plugs. It still didnt fire. I dont know the correct ohm and voltage readings that I am supposed to have so, I decided to check the points on the magneto. I noticed on the flywheel that there were 3 holes for jacking bolts So, I placed jacking bolts M6 into the flywheel. Little did I know that 1 of the holes was in inline with the exciter coil. I got the flywheel off but ran the bolt onto the outter edge of the exciter coil and damaged it. The problem was probably just the coil the mechanic said, So MY IGNORANCE is probably the reason im not fishing right now.So the model is NS18C2, engine # 75548.If I could find a good used one that would be great if its discontinued I would sincerely appreciate anybody's help on this I REALLY want my great running motor to run again. I would love to go FISHING... Thanks for all the help so far and concerns. Sincerely Cole Scruggs.
