Hi - It's an 89 Smokercraft 1990 Johnson 3 cyl oil injected it's not gas , I bought a new gas line and the plugs show gas, there is no spark.Last years a mechanic clean out the carbs, new plugs and power pack and coils. It's hard to figure it out. Please Advise

Are you mixing gas and oil?-------------Is oil injection in service and confirmed to be working.
Greetings, thank-You for your reply,Oil Injection seems fine in that if it's not getting oil a beep is supposed to come on .Last year I had a mechanic clean the carbs, new plugs, and power pack and coils. Can't figure this one, there is no spark. Please Advise Thank-You

'' What do you think it could be ?''.....i think you could spend a couple grand and not get a fix with this approach...

is the horn working?do you get a short beep when you turn the key on?is the motor getting hot?will the motor turn over at least 300 rpm when it fails and you try to start it?if it will turn over that fast are you getting fire with an inductive timing light?

have you checked compression and made sure fire will jump 7/16 inch with a gap tester..testers are available cheap at any good auto parts store..

have you disconnected the black and yellow wire coming from the power pack?this is from the kill switch...it should be floating when running and ground when the key is turn off or the kill switch lanyard is pulled...there should be no voltage on this wire under any circumstances..not even millivolts..any voltage will destroy the power pack..

you say the plugs are wet....with gas or with water and gas mixed?...have you tried another tank with new gas?

why did the tech replace those parts last year?same problem?

how long have you had the motor and how long did it run trouble free for you?
