1990 johnson 40hp - spark advance lever replacement

hello everyone hoping you guys can help me the plastic spark advance lever broke on my motor and the replacement part is not sold anymore is there another option or do i have to make one out of aluminum which i really don't want to do. thanks in advance for any help
