"I have a 1990 Johnson 25hp ou

"I have a 1990 Johnson 25hp outboard that won't shut off. Starts perfect, runs good, turn off the key and it keeps going. checked all of the wiring and the ignition switch, all of it checks out good. I think the problem is the Power Pack. Can anyone confirm this before I spend the money and time."
 
"Make sure that the black wire

"Make sure that the black wire from the powerpack to powerhead ground is clean and tight.

Disconnect the black/yellow wire (kill circuit) from the powerpack. Connect that powerpack black/yellow wire (kill circuit) to a powerhead ground.

If you still have spark, consider the powerpack faulty. Let us know what you find."

"Pull the black/yellow cable that goes into the power pack out of the connector and put it to ground. If engine stops, pp is ok, if not: change pp."
