Ive changed water pump ,complete kit it p's at first start.up then stops,pur new thermostat in ,still same over heating heard there mite have a popped valve or pressure relief valve any ideas, if it does have a valve where is it located

Bought it not running ,once I fixed that water pump wasn't pumping installed new pump kit again fixed problem this time
