1990 evinrude slow to plane off

engine seems slow to plane off without a heavy load on boat.when it finally gets to speed it runs great.when boat has a heavy load it stuggles to accelerate speed.it has been very hot and humid when it happened.

Heavy load? How is it with a light load? You might be over propped for that heavy load.

had the same prop on for over a year.engine seems to idle fine.ball is hard on fuel line.

im sorry. 1990 60 hp evinrude .plywood glass boat weighs1800lbs. factory prop. rpms im afraid i dont know

You are most likely bar far over propped. Have your max rpm checked out.

I'm having the same problem when boat breaks over run like new. In the mornings runs fine but as the day gets hotter the worse it gets. I think humidity has a major part. In the winter boat runs strong.

the humid weather broke and i changed fuel fitting at engine and it seems to run much better. perhaps ethanol and high humidity bad combo

My boat is a 95 model 17 foot nitro w/115hp wot is 5500rpm. I'm going to replace primer ball and hose just to start. Yesterday was the worst humidity was 90% and livewells were full. I unhooked my vro pump last fall makes me wonder if carb need adjusting. Like I stated earlier once on plane boat run great I can run fast or slow never a miss.
