"Hey Eric...Evenrude/ Johnson does not give a compression spec on their motors...They made Make a High compression engine, and also a low compression one...75# in each cylinder sounds like a low comp. engine...Now, Does the motor start up easy, and seem to idle smoothly after warming up..? Also look on the motor leg, and you will find the MODEL and SERIAL number there..please post Tom"
