1990 Crusader 454 (FWC) oil dip sticks need to be replaced

I need to replace both oil dip sticks for my 1990 454 (FWC) Crusaders. I couldn't find replacements at Marineengine.com. Anyone know where I can find them. Right now, I only have one dip stick in working condition even though the cap is all cracked and broken. The other one doesn't even have a dip stick in it. I've got the hole in the top of the cap where the stick used to be attached plugged with a bolt. Not the best application. Every time I'm down below working on those Crusaders, I manage to slam into those dip sticks and beat the Hell out of um.

i have had the exact problem. The space between the engines does not match the space required for my butt and they get bent and twisted several times during the active season. I was able to replace them thru a friend with the yellow "T" capped handle. I will ask him if you have a problem to get a price and availability

Thanks, my problem is that when I search on line, the companies show a picture of the dip stick, serial #, and an OEM replacement part #, but don't list them by year, so I'm not certain which one I need.

21045 IS the number I seem to come up with, make sense to you? I see there is a difference in the tube if it is a v-drive or not but the dipstick is the same part number

I think that's it. I'll check out where I can order a couple and do it today.
Thanks,

I went through the same thing and finally took two pair of pliers and bent the top "rings" sideways. Now they're not sticking out from the engine. I realize that doesn't help you.
