"Hi, the issue I am having with my motor is the warning horn sounds all the time when I start the motor. I had the water pump impeller replaced thinking that might be the problem but it still continues to sound. I checked the fuel filter, no problems there. Once in a while when I start the motor it does not alarm. The motor runs great and is not overheating, just makes that ungodly warning sound. One day I hit the throttle lever on top on the shifter control and it stopped. Is there a wire inside of the control case that could be loose? If so how hard is it to take it apart to cheheck it? Right now to make it quit I turn the key half way off until it stops but then that also shuts down the rest of my gauges."

its not uncommon for horns to short out open up the box check wires or replace horn its a fairly easy job just keep track of where parts go theres not many loose ones involed just to change a horn

"Yes, i am still using the VRO

"Yes, i am still using the VRO system, I will try to disconnect the tan wire. If the horn quits when I disconnect the wire what would that indicate?"

"bad sender in hd,..
disc wir

"bad sender in hd,..
disc wires going to oil tank...to see if sender is bad there.
disc wires going to vro to see if bad elect there...dont forget-- to reconnect after test...process of elimination,...if all senders are disc at eng,..u would need to go into control box,or where your horn is,....to make sure nothing is grounding it,causing it to activate."
