I think the vro has been damaged with ethanol. Is there any way to replace these inexpensively? I have a couple used ones but how do you test them? They are alcohol resistant.....but that only means for how long? Sometimes its hard to find non-oxy, especially around Minneapolis. The vro's here are often subjected to alcohol. The customer may consider mixing his own oil. Is there any way to safely decommission the vro? Thanks, Guido Tim

Open your pump and see what is wrong, mostly the rubber fuel membrane/valve. These are inexpensive to replace. Or bring the VRO pump to a good dealer, he will replace this, it is quite simple for a trained mechanic.

Ok thanks, I am a good veteran mechanic, 42 years in professional repair I'll give it a try. I am not anti VRO, when they work good, they are pretty nice.
