No----- you put a plug in the

No----- you put a plug in the existing 1/8-NPT hole and drill into the top of the block and tap a new 1/8"-NPT hole to relocate the hose.There is no need to remove covers.If you need the location of the new hole see your friendly dealer or ask nicely here.
 
cant you just get a longer hos

cant you just get a longer hose so you can easily see it by turning around.make it pee any
place you want?

There was a FACTORY SERVICE BULLETIN that clearly spelled it out.Some earlier 3 cylinder motors suffered from air pockets in the water jackets.The bulletin outlines what to do. Any shop worth visiting will have the details.Advice is free----good advice is $60.00 / HR.

and it does move it to top of block...i do,altho rem moving those to top of exhaust cover in the 80's...any way,..i do have that bulletin in whole,if some one is interested...so ikia,would be correct."
