"Help needed. I have a 1990 50 HP Mariner O/B that starts well and runs strong with plenty of power at first, but seems to lose power once it warms up. Cooling system appears to be working well with a good stream of water from outlet.
Any suggestions as to what might cause this loss of power would be appreciated."

Gas starvation. Vent open? Air

Gas starvation. Vent open? Air leak in the hose? Plugged filter?

"Thanks for the input. I'm running off of 6 gal tanks, there is an in-line filter on the engine. I'll check the filter and gas line. Would these conditions only cause problems once the engine heats up?
